Katja Brittain (pictured here) is a seasoned consultant specialising in church management, mission realignment, and sustainability. With a Master of Theology, an MBA, and extensive experience in the not-for-profit and faith-based sectors, Katja brings a unique blend of strategic vision and practical solutions to help congregations optimise their spaces while staying true to their mission.
As the founder of Mission per Squarefoot, Katja works with church leaders to navigate the challenges of property stewardship, financial sustainability, and community impact. She has a deep understanding of the intersection between faith, real estate, and social innovation, gained through years of advising churches, charities, and housing organizations across Canada.

Prior to launching Mission per Squarefoot, Katja held leadership roles in high-value grant provision, church-based affordable housing, and charitable governance. She is an active member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Toronto with various volunteer commitments, she serves on various boards - for example, Ecuhome and Christian Jewish Dialogue of Toronto. She was involved as the chair of German Senior Housing in the Greater Toronto Area.
Katja is passionate about helping churches reimagine their buildings as assets for ministry, community service, and long-term resilience --> church building usage optimisation.
